1st Half Score: 37-27
NU is shooting the best they have all season. The scoring is balanced which is opening up space for everyone. And BU just doesn't look too good.

NU shooting 56% from the field, 6/11 from 3

Miller Kopp: 13 points 2 rebounds.
Boo Buie: 9 points, 1 rebound

Buie is going to have his ups and downs this year. That first half was definitely an UP.

He already has the offensive cockiness of Isiah Brown and the defensive intensity of Jordan Ash. We really could have used a recruit like him to back up BMac at point a few years ago.

LOL Spencer. He’s having a rough night.

LOL. Didn’t quite stick the landing, but man it was impressive how he just lunged at the loose ball, potential contact be damned, and came up with the easy fastbreak. A man among boys.

There will be a lot of inconsistencies throughout the year, but most encouraging is NU looks like they won’t have to rely on 1 guy to be successful. Miller looks awesome and several others contributing nicely when PS has an off night thus far.

I have watched a few games now but had not noticed what a great pure shooter Kopp is. Others had mentioned it and now I see why. He is going to be fun to watch.

Good grief. Terrible three sequences. Knew something bad was about to happen when the commentators started bantering with NU up 20.

It’s down to 12.

Yeah, he is pretty much the only ‘Cat having an off night. And, boy, is he off! Might want to stick with Buie. Spencer will be OK, but this is not his night.
Yep - roll with the hot hand. Boo should get the PT tonight.

Wow, four underclassmen on the floor and they are more than holding their own. Some really bright spots in this game!

I am certainly excited with the performance tonight, but it sure seems like BC is a really bad team. Will be interesting to see how the rest of their season goes.

Really bad? I don’t know about that. Sure, they’re not going to win the ACC, but this is pretty much a coast-to-coast win over a Power 5 team. Not sure we expected to see that from this group in early December.

How many times have we heard "cashing it in" on a made basket tonight? I'll take it, though. Great win.

Very nice win, especially when our best player thus far this year was having an off night. The young guys are really coming along!

I agree. And part of it may have been that we made them look bad. But we seem to struggle with teams that have athletic big men which BC clearly didn't.

As a young team, the next step is to play with more consistency. We have a high ceiling.

Spencer's readiness to play hero ball needs to have some brakes applied at times - his confidence is healthy and at times will be critical- but kudos to Collins for taking the ball out of his hands some tonight and giving it to Buie.

Spencer can get careless leading to getting his pocket picked, and he almost hurt himself on the dunk when Beran had an easy one.

It's nice to nitpick on a night when everyone else played well - but if Pat can notice when everyone else is playing well, it'll lead to good things.

I wonder if Spencer was having a bad night in part because there is now some tape on how to guard him. I still think he has the best handle on the team, and very good feet, but he can get picked from behind.

Let’s pretend this is the football board and speculate whether it’s a family issue!

Buie has the best handle which is aided by his quickness.

I think Spencer is learning the the game at this level. He doesn’t know his limitations or the speed and athleticism of other point guards. B-ball just has much better athletes top to bottom than Lax, cause it’s a much more popular sport. But lax is more physical and Spencer is a beast. I think if had played b-ball for 4 years his body would be a little more wiry rather than stout and he’d work on quickness more than physicality. It’s amazing how good he’s been already but he’s literally less experienced playing b-ball than a true frosh in some ways.

I believe this was an adjustment game for Spencer. His incredible confidence is a major asset but, last night, might have made his concentration be lower than required.

If that's the case, glad the learning came in a game we still won, more or less, easily. Dude is amazing.
