Enough of player of year talk, enough of who's leaving early, or who's coming next year. Don't say what you want to happen, please give honest guess whether Duke can win ACC this week. I don't think so and it pains me to admit it. We don't have a healthy Grayson, and can't seem to find positive minutes out of bench, and K hasn't shown any interest in running zone any, which I think would help with fatigue, so my sad answer is no. Please prove me wrong Duke

I don't think we win. I honestly hope we do well but I think resting up would be best. I don't wanna see Allen hurt for the tourney. Give us a chance to work on the defense and hopefully running zone. K needs to work Bolden and Vrank into the offense more to give guys some rest and also give some hard fouls to send a message.

Mac I agree with you being completely realistic. I do not see us winning 4 in 4 and think K is really focused on the big dance. I do think we would benefit from any extra time our subs could get this week.Heck I would love to see Ques, Javin and Jack White all get a little burn Wednesday and a little "Orange" 2-3 zone..

It hurts going into the ACC Tourney and feeling pessimistic, but I just dont think this group is built for a 4 day run....

Why do people continue to say "I want to see Bolden play minutes"?

Folks it ain't happening this year...may as well get use to it

And I would say truth be known its more about Bolden than K "not giving him a shot"

What do you see the problem being with Bolden? I only see what I see, am not at any practices, but like a lot of others, how did a player like him with all this hype become relegated to such a minor role with team? How does a guy that Kentucky wanted so bad be so bad for Duke?

Agree...And I think if we are to have chance at winning Thursday, we need to at least play our bench guys a little extra Wed....

I guess Coach K will do what he thinks is right. He's our coach and I think he fully understands the situation we are in right now. Whether we win the ACC tourney or not which is real important to him as it always has we still have to win 6 games in the natty just like everyone else. Seeds are important but you still got to win 6. I'd rather win the natty than the ACC just like all of you do and if resting some guys will help get us there I'm all for it. Amile seems to be better but I'm not so sure about Grayson. He for sure isn't attacking the basket like he's capable of. His whole game is off. To win the ACC tourney means both Grayson and Amile will go 4 days in a row. That's a lot of time on the court. Maybe both will play but get a lot of rest no matter how the games go. I don't know what the answer is. Leave it up to the staff. That's why they do what they do and why I do what I do. OFC

We can win and I think we might do it.. Carolina had a tendency to it care about this tourney and it is in NYC so that's a big advantage for us. We lost to lville but think we deft take them out

We're not playing in Chapel Hill, so sure I think we could win 4 games in the ACCT. But with Grayson and Amile not being 100% (and only playing 6 or 7 players) I don't think it would be a good thing to play 4 games in such a short period of time.

Now, if K, for some reason, decided to play the bench a bunch of minutes, and continue to limit Grayson & even Amile's minutes...then possibly playing 4 games wouldn't be so bad...in fact, probably great for our team's confidence. Don't look for that to happen, but K might think he has to play the bench more if this team has a realistic chance to win the ACCT.
We'll see. No matter who plays (or who doesn't) I'll be rooting hard for our Blue Devils.

I saw his post game interview Sky and he said Grayson is moving better but not there yet, and he went on to say team is getting better. Yes he does know best but easy to coach where we sit huh

VaBlue I second what you said about Bolden but wish to include the whole bench in "why do others continue to say they want to see the bench get more PT." It's not going to happen this year because it just appears that the bench doesn't have K's confidence except for short spurts. K is only going to play a certain number of players and we should all know it by now. Its worked for him successfully in the past and hopefully it will going forward.

Look we have the G.O.A.T coach,it was just a personal opinion, and agreement w/Mac. I really just think if we entertain any hopes of getting past Thurs, we need to play a few more guys EARLY ON in a 4 day tourney.

Sometimes either things just don't work out or they take a little extra time to become something really special. Look at Jeter - he was a big 5 star recruit that has definitely always looked to be a project. Or Amile... He was a 4 star project that became one of the most important parts of our team. There's plenty of hope for Bolden.

Do I think we can win? No. But anything can happen.

Duke don't have the bench to run four games back to back. Six is not enough and no front court depth outside of Amile will hurt.

I think we lose the first or second game in both the ACC and NCAA tourneys. One of the staff's weakest efforts in terms of recruiting and team management.

Is it in the realm of possibility for this team to win the ACC? Yes.

- They could beat any ACC team on any given night. And it will be in NYC.

Is probable that Duke will win? No.

- They have no bench. They essentially play 7 players but Harry has not been contributing much offensively or defensively.

Will Duke win? No. Not in my opinion though I will be rooting they do. I think they have a better chance of winning the ACC than the NCAA.

The first thing I'm always is hoping for in a year like this: to not see UNC win either the ACC or National title.

We have to win the first game Wednesday. Of the two teams we could play one has beat us and one almost beat us at Cameron. Each game will be a dog fight, lets worry about Wednesday first.

I can't possibly see Coach go to Javin, Jeter, Vrank, White, or give meaningful minutes to Bolden when he hasn't done so all conference season. For those hoping to see someone pull a 2015 Grayson this postseason, remember that Grayson was getting real burn in February. He was comfortable by the time March came around.

So with no bench to speak of, our upside is significantly limited. I can't envision a scenario where we get past the semis against a well rested UNC team.

I do think we will get to the Elite 8 or better in the NCAAT though.

I'd like to see Duke win at least one game and perhaps 2 and then take a week off. ACC tourney doesn't mean what it did in the 1970's so why jeopardize whatever chance we have in the NCAA tournament. We're not going to see much more of the bench than we have seen for better or for worse so let's maximize what we have.

I'm a big Giles fan but when I saw him with his arms wrapped around Hicks in the post I realized he's no where near ready to play college defense even at this point in the season. I guess he relied on athleticism in high school and now he's got to learn footwork and technique.

That's me. Things haven't gone as planned. All damage control at this point. I got 63 teams to pull for as of this Sunday.

We lost 3 of our last 4 games, true. But all three losses were competitive, and all three losses were on the road. That to me is the most encouraging. I feel a lot better about this team's chances to compete with the big boys compared to last year. In 2016, our margin for error was so thin. We can make mistakes and still beat top 10 teams this year. Obviously I don't think we're a favorite to win either, but I think we're gonna give it one heckuva fight. I'll say Semifinals. If we do lose in the semis, I certainly hope it's to Miami or Syracuse and not Carolina.

Well guys, I learned a long time ago to never say never. Can Duke win the ACCT, yes they most certainly can! Will they, ?. I too wish that "K" would use his bench, it's never too late to start, and maybe play a little zone for rest purposes and change of pace. Right now, I am more concerned with the team getting "reps" together as a unit, than I am with rest. This includes practice and games. It just kills a team that has players not practicing but playing in games (timing, knowing where everyone is going to be on the floor, and just being together).
The further we can go in the ACCT together as a unit, the better will be in the NCAAT. "K" is the best, and hopefully he will read our posts and play the bench ;) this week!
Lastly, I read an article a while ago that said by next week everyone will be predicting an NCAAT Champ, and said: Sorry Arizona, Duke, Louisville and others, it won't be you! I love it, forget all about Duke . It was an insider story so I couldn't see why or what team they picked.
All we can hope for it that Grayson and Amile can keep improving (health), and nobody else gets hurt, and then all I will tell you is to "buckle up" cause IT'S GONNA BE OK!
Go Duke!

I am not sure I understand this. I have seen Duke run zone, more this year than they did last year. And last year, they ran zone more then the past 5 years combined. Zone is not the issue -- it is the lack of playing the bench. At least that's my issue.

I'm waiting for my weekly call with K's coach staff to discuss...;)
