40 years. That's my guess for Coach K at Duke. I may be wrong though could be more could be less. He's been at Duke and according to the source I looked at he's been at Duke 35 years and won 970 games. That's 28 per year. If he stays 40 and averages the same wins per year he will end up at 1,100 wins at Duke. If these stats are wrong someone please correct me but it's close anyway. Now let's look at the previous 40 years at Duke which goes back before 10 years or so and Duke won a little over 800 which is about 20 wins per year which is not too shabby either. Had some good coaches come through the last 80 years or so. Harold Bradley, Vic Bubas and Bill Foster to name three. Point made Coach K averaged around 8 wins per year than all the coaches did in the previous 40 years prior to his coming. That is AWESOME! But like I said Duke had basketball tradition before the G.O.A.T. arrived but he elevated Duke into the greatest basketball program of his era and that is why Duke is despised so much by other fan bases because it stands behind no one. We are witnessing one of the greatest legends ever. Savor it and appreciate every minute, game and season we will have him. Never, ever will any program see the likes of him again. OFC
