True . They need their confidence back and be able to hold onto it , do that and they'll be fine .

Considering NMSU to be "winnable" is an absolute shame. A win against them should be as certain as the law of gravity.

You do know that they are working on anti-gravity machines, don't you?

At the start of the year there there would have been no question all three games were winnable, now lots of questions.

Or they should be. Play like they did in the 1st half of SMiss they can. Play like they did the next 6 qtrs, somehow we'll have to come up with 17 mil.

Your picture makes me think of this. It would do St. Mitch some good to watch Patton a few dozen times

LOL we watching the same UK team because the team from the past 2 weeks only has 2 winnable games and thats our two cup cakes. They've got to improve a ton in every aspect of football... thats how behind they are

Given the talent UK has they are very winnable. Given how they played the answer is no besides tomorrow.

I admire the people who still have hope but it's amazing that we have to go 6 for 6 in winnable games to salvage this season. Does anyone really think that is an attainable goal?

I agree that we "could" win 5 of the next 6. The only problem is that after our recent performances we "have to" win a good number of them......without a ton of fans in the stands......and while a ton of fan and media scrutiny.....and with significant additional pressure to the players/coaches.....and with some measure of distrust between players/coaches....with Barker being head rattled for the last 6 of 8 quarters....with.....with....

....It's just not nearly as easy as it should be.

Can someone quantify "winnable"?

If you think UK has a 10% chance of winning, is that winnable? How about 1 in 3, winnable? Or do you mean 50/50 maybe?

I suspect the answers are all over the place. For me, I consider a game we had a 1 in 3 chance as winnable.

As is 1 of the last 4.

For the 6 total remaining "winnable games" the current Sagarin predictor numbers (which get "more accurate" each week) look like this (rounded off):

NM State: UK -22
SC: UK -1
Vandy: Pick 'Em
MSU: UK +5
@MO: UK +7
A/P: UK -48

For those other 4 games:

@AL: UK +34
GA: UK +8
@TN: UK +21
@UofL: UK +18

All we need is to get the team GPA/APR up and win 5 games. There are so many bowls, 5-7 gets us in.
Start recruiting smarter playerso_O for bowl chance.

Yeah, sorta. Underdogs (based on point spread) win out right at about the following percentages (see my other post for current expected spreads):

3 points or less...~48%
3.5 - 7 points...~35%
7.5 - 10 points...~26%
10.5 - 14 points...21%

A 10% chance of winning corresponds to an approximate 17 point 'dawg, so I would call that basically "un-winnable"

A 33% chance of winning falls into that 3.5 to 7 point 'dawg category and I would agree that can be realistically thought of as "winnable"

Peace

Those are what is known as 5 star recruits that play for Kentucky.

I dont give a damn what coach you get to teach football at Ky., you have to have the horses to get to the winners circle.
