The SEC got five in because it's a power 5 conference. Arkansas played no one outside of conference besides SMU and lost to Clemson and was blown out by Iowa State. Ditto on the OOC slate for Ole Miss who lost to Western and Charleston Southern. Georgia lost to Georgia Tech, Minnesota, and Gonzaga without beating any decent OOC teams.
In my opinion Arkansas was over-seeded, and will get the snot beaten out of them by UNC if they can win their first round game. LSU is probably the second best team in the SEC and they lost to Auburn for God's sakes as well as Clemson and Old Dominion. Clemson was 8-11 in the ACC by the way.
FYI, if this rant offends you, it's in no way an attack on UK. You guys would have won any league in the country this year. But the SEC was not a good conference. It's all academic now, but I hate the fact that teams like Murray State, UCONN, etc, etc, etc, got left out in favor of teams like Georgia.
