One of my favorites…The Sting was released. As was The Exorcist. My God, does time fly. I can remember like it was yesterday people flocking to see the Exorcist movie. Newspaper articles writing about sold out theaters

I went to see The Exorcist when it first opened in theaters. Went with two friends who decided to drop some Windowpane in the theater, just before the movie started. (I did not.) The movie scared the crap out of me, but they were complete basket cases. I had to spend the night with them. Looking back, it was funny as hell.
Just a quick FYI..... the character Father Damien Karras was portrayed by Scranton native Jason Miller....whom i would chat with at a few Scranton pubs....he was usually quiet but always willing to talk with me. First time we met i asked for his autograph on a special edition newspaper celebrating his film career...he was very happy someone knew him and asked!
