I seem to remember being able to pay just few bucks and got two games then canceled. Seven might be more challenging.

Home or away games, what's the breakdown? I just got season tickets so I won't mind if there are home games on Peacock...

What a shocker, not willing to pay for a subscription service, huh? 🤦‍♂️
It isn't just that it is a subscription service. It is a pain in the a*s. And an awful lot of places just don't have Peacock. It is not included in anything else I have and the overall bill is already horendous for one person. And then you have to remember to cancel it or get hit with significant charges when it auto renews, I bought it last year for the year so I may still have DEC but I found that other than the couple games, I had no other use for it So now having to do it again? And not sure I can get even a similar deal, $20 for the year)

Only one of the games looks to be an away game. Rutgers Jan 12 (Sun) The others all home and the first four Non Con. The BIG games are all in Jan and include home games against PSU and WASH (1/29 and 1/31) plus the Rutgers game previously mentioned. Maybe they would do BTN 60 min replays

I can deal with one road game on Peacock without bothering to subscribe and cancel... I have a couple of friends whose couch I may end up sitting on that evening!

It's a whopping $11/month (very cheap compared to other services, Marquee is $20/month). I have no use for the shows but family members do. I love having EPL.

What's with the "I have to remember to cancel"? Just cancel it immediately after signing up. You will get it until the end of the period you paid for.

It is frustrating trying to watch a team and having to chase them thru a variety of subscription streaming services of which I otherwise have zero interest. It must work well enough because they keep doing it, but the result for me is I just read about the games later.

The biggest problem I have with Peacock and with just about every streaming service outside of YouTube TV is their playback controls absolutely suck. With YouTube TV, I can start a stream with some delay; with Peacock (last I checked) users have to wait until the game is fully recorded if they want to watch it with a delay. YouTube TV has a 15-second FFWD click function; you can click twice to get to the next play and you can click a known number of counts to skip a commercial break. Peacock, Amazon, etc., have only clunky controls that are more akin to a FFWD button on a freaking VCR. Obnoxious.

As a reminder, the 6 Nations Rugby Championship is on Peacock January-March. It would be a good introduction to the game and could take the edge off the subscription cost

I too balk at the incremental costs of multiple streaming services, including Peacock. It's not yet mentioned in this thread, but I heartily commend the audio broadcasts (easily available online) of blessed Dave Eanet and (presumably again this year) Billy McKinney. Eanet is a treasure to be valued, and paints an excellent word picture of Goncourt action. I much prefer to sync his play-by-play for games carried on BTN or other video channels.

Do I wish everything was in one place? Sure. But getting a monthly subscription to Peacock for the duration of the NU football and basketball season doesn't seem like too much of a hardship... particularly if you can get mostly everything else in one place like YouTube TV (there's only two games on B1G+ and one of them is an exhibition).

Saying that there's literally no other use for Peacock feels like one's own obstinacy. Just try a new TV show or watch a movie.

I was without Peacock last year. A friend who had it strictly for NU games told me he signed up the previous April or May-ish for something like $2 a month. Then he canceled after the season and the same sale became available. Both of us jumped on it.

April and May seem like the sweet spot if you only want it for NU.

There was a nice sweet spot when I could watch pretty much all the big ten basketball games on the big ten network, and/or catch the streamlined 60 minutes rebroadcasts of the ones I missed for various reasons. That's the time line I miss. But that milk has spilled and spoiled afaik.

You realize that all of these games on multiple networks is why the Big 10 brings in so much revenue?

The Winter Olympics take place during the upcoming basketball season, too, and Peacock's Olympics coverage is exceptional.

My only real problem with the various platforms is that it grossly interferes with my ability to channel surf. Nothing better than flipping to another game during a commercial or at halftime. But say, tonight, I wanted to go from Thursday Night football on Prime, to a MLB playoff game on Hulu, by the time I've exited one service and entered another, then found the new station. . . this complicated new world of streaming sucks.
