NO.

There are bands that will always suck. Those being:

Journey
REO
Foreignor
Eagles

They shall not be accepted or played in my presence.

Jackson Brown is another colossal bore.

Sorry.

Hey punk rock started in the 70's (unfortunately so did disco). Any band that could play 3 chords could be considered musicians.

70s

Eagles
Springsteen
Neil Young
Allman Brothers Band
Sex Pistols
Ramones
Police
Clash
Talking Heads
The Who (Whos Next came out in 1971, then Quadrophenia)
Stones (Beggars Banquet, and Exile on Main Street)

Plenty of others

P.S. Anyone that admit they like Journey, Boz Scaggs, REO, Heart or Cheap Trick should be banned for life from this board. Or severely flogged. But that seems excessive . . .

Hey. My dear, dead mom loved Boz Scaggs. That means I like Boz Scaggs. So ban me.

I am a clssic rock fan Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Bob Seger, Cream etc.

I still like a lot of the easy listening stuff from the 70's I guess from that "puppy love" stage.

Tsk,

Shame on you! First, Cheap Trick, at their best, was a really good band. Not a trend setter or mega-influential band, but they rocked harder than all of the Foreigner, Journey, REO, Heart, Boz-freakin-Skaggs, etc. bands you mentioned. And the Talking Heads? Really? I for one would MUCH rather listen to late 70s Cheap Trick than that band of weirdos. What's next? The Flaming Lips? C'mon, man!

Second, a HUGE shame on you. Beggars Banquet was released in 1968 followed by Let It Bleed in '69. Get Yer Ya Ya's Out was 1970 and Sticky Fingers was 71. Stones at their very peak, imo.

The Flaming Lips, like Talking Heads, are awesome. Cheap Trick is a one note pop band on par with god damn 3 Doors Down.
