Can the Mounties make it 10 in a row against the Titans? They look to be improved and should have a huge advantage with numbers. Can Mitchell not turn it over 5 times like last week against Latin? Big questions, hopefully the streak continues. Mounties by 4

I was hoping to make the trip up but my kids and I all have covid. Thought this crap was over with.

I think the game comes down to 2 questions.

1. Can McDowell match the physicality and slow down Mitchell's run game and

2. Can Mitchell defend the pass/ RPO. McDowell can throw it pretty well this year and have a couple decent WRs.

Should be a good game and I hate that I'm missing it. You guys don't have NFHS up there do you? Guess it's radio.

This would be a pretty big statement win for the Titans under their new coach, but I still think he has some work to do before he can beat an established program like Mitchell. McDowell is headed in the right direction, but it will probably take until next year before results are seen in Marion,

With their schedule this year, I think 4 to 6 wins are doable. If they beat Avery, Enka, North Buncombe and South Caldwell or St Stephens that's a pretty good first year. I dont see them keeping it particularly close with Freedom or Watauga but I think they will be competitive with all the other teams on the schedule. That being said, they dont have a lot of depth and need to stay healthy.

After what I seen last week, I think this is the year the streak is broken. Mitchell will have to improve in all aspects of the game from last week. It all starts with line play and Mitchell took a beating on both the offensive and defensive side last week. On offense they can’t continue to turn it over. On defense they can’t be afraid to hit and quit arm tackling. Man I bleed purple but they have some holes to fill.

I think Mitchell will have more success this week. McDowell isnt that big this year, especially DT. We have a huge DE who can cause trouble but if you run up the middle you can have success.

On the flip side im interested to see if McDowell will have success throwing the ball against Mitchell.

I would add sideline coaching will have to improve, this getting delay of game call or nearly every play just barley getting the ball snapped in time is ridiculous. When you have to rush the play like that it just throws everything off. Plus whoever is the terrible play caller really needs to improve.

Poor final 5 minutes of the half hurts the Titans.

I take back what I said last week Hayden Webb is their best player, put him at qb Pittman at hb run the option get the run game going grind the clock, or we are going to end up 0-4 headed to a running clock at Hendersonville the pass game is not there no time no blocking the Webb kid appears to be our best player and is way under utilized give him the ball let him pound it

We could start the season 0-5 not a lot of talent and a weak defense

Mitchell taking over after McDowell turnovers. McDowell has to improve on defense or it will be another long season

Well I was wrong on the outcome. Mitchell did clean up some things but still work to do. But credit to the kids and coaches definitely a better performance than last week.
