I can't help but wonder what percentage of those penalties can be blamed on our DBs' inability to play pass defense without holding or committing PI? I'm looking at you Bookie, Fields, and Brown.

I think the issues of OU’s secondary are mostly due to the lack of a pass rush. That problem may be about to go away.

44 is simply too small to position himself to properly defend & tackle within the rules.

The pass rush may improve and this should help, but it can't grow 4 inches on 44.
