Since seeding began in 1940 there have been eight instances where a wrestler has beaten the top 3 seeds in a single tournament.

The first four are old so I will give you those.

Can you name the fantastic four who have done it since the turn of the century?

Clark was close. Beat 5, 2, and 1.

No Hawkeyes in the answer to this one.

Nailed it. Vito is the most recent.

Like Vito two of the other three did it on the way to the championship, but the fourth wrestler finished third.
2024 at Tulsa. Teske (Iowa), if I remember right got a bad draw after a good Big 10, but he was able to get within a match of placing.
I was rooting for Vito taking out Orine (NCSt), Crookham (Lehigh) and of course FIX! He was unstoppable as the 6 seed.

Sorry, Coach, but Teske is not one of the guys.

Hint: Of the other three two were #6 seeds and did all their damage on the front side. One was a #9 seed and needed some backside magic to get the job done.
