This is in specific reference to Michigan's running back returning, but there's a lot of players returning nationwide. Since NFL doesn't guarantee contracts unless you make the final roster (but signing bonuses are guaranteed I think), playing another year of college can be more profitable. I think of Justin Rogers this way.
