The previous year, my girlfriend who is now my wife, went to the game in Blacksburg as she was attending Radford University. We pulled off a major upset and she cannot get over the crowd as it was her first collegiate game. I promised her that night I would take her next year in Morgantown.

We made the trip up, and end up storming the field and I still have the ticket stubs in the panoramic picture from that night. I have two young daughters now that I talk about how loud the stadium was when we broke off the 97 yard touchdown pass to Travis Garvin.

Before life got in the way and going to every home game, there have been several amazing moments, but that one is still my favorite.

Plus most of my wife’s family and my neighbors are VT fans and I really need this win tomorrow.

Wouldn't be an upset, since WVU is favored to win.

I see 24-20, to cover the spot. Of course, it all comes down to whether WV O-Line can control the line of scrimmage and protect the QB.
A 1-1 team favored over a ranked 2-0 team. Shows you that Vegas knows more than top 25 voters.

2003 VT game was last one I watched with my wife in Mountaineer Field. We stayed up till 3 a.m. talking excitedly about the game. My Mona Lisa passes away February 4, 2004. VT and MML are great memories for me! And she was my Cinderella Girl, too (Cinderella, WV coal camp on Williamson border). She was God's greatest gift to me for a half-century.

No. It simply says voters are aware B1G bottom feeder Maryland is better than WVU, and Vegas feels WVU at home is looked at as an even game against Tech with WVU getting the added 3 due to home field advantage. Wonder if Vegas knows ACC crew is officiating the game?

28-7. Wasn’t their only score on special teams?
Nope, Wilson was running off right tackle and fumbled the ball. They scooped and scored though if instant replay were in effect back then, VPI would of had the ball at mid-field. They might of drove in for a score, but we’ll never know.

Simply says WVU gifted Mary a win. Chokie Hokies played an overrated UNC that made them look good. VEGAS gives WVU the advantage because nobody putting enough money on this one.

My Mona Lisa is working her magic again from Heaven. She was with me in 2003 in Mountaineer Field when WVU knocked off #3 VT. We stayed away till 3 a.m. reliving it. She passed away in February 2004. She's happy so far! Now it 2nd half builds lead to 34 points My Mona Lisa and me will be happy!

One of my most memorable nights in college. Went over the wall and made an attempt for the goal posts, was met by heavily armed men who told us we shouldn't do that...then went to Grant Street to watch the chaos.

Anyone remember that ESPN clip of those dudes running down the sidelines with the team benches?
