A passing spread offense has NEVER won a title.

The 2000 OU defense won that title. No passing team has won a title in the spread era. Texas, Florida, Auburn, Ohio State and now Clemson are running spreads.

Yeah right, our defense scored 13 points. Are you gay?

You promote stupidity like it's a damn virtue!

Derp. Do not take the helmet off. You will be in danger if you do.

5-7 DOES NOT WIN THE BIG 12. LOSING RECORDS IN THE BIG 12 DOES NOT WIN THE BIG 12. BACK TO BACK LOSING SEASONS IS AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE CONFERENCE UNLESS YOU'RE IOWA STATE. GETTING BLANKED BY IOWA STATE SHOULD GET YOU BANNED FROM THE CONFERENCE.

You are not gonna win the CFP passing the ball. Defense and the running game win titles!!!

That Chris Leak's Florida team is the WEAKEST title team of all those mentioned. Cam Newton was a running team and FSU ran the West Coast offense and note I didn't list them as a running spread team, only a FOOL reply post.

Remember when you were a kid running around with your friends and your dog was always trailing along? Kind of a Huckleberry Finn existence, right? At some point you need to sit a bit a rest. Your dog flops down near you and starts licking his hangy down parts. At that point you are visually introduced to what is commonly known as a dog pecker knat.

Mich state totally sold out versus the run and were vulnerable to the pass. No spread passing attack has won a national title other than OU in 2000, but that team had a great defense. Other than that team no passing spread has even made the BCS title game or won a title. The Malzahn and Morris offenses are all run spreads as is the Urban Meyer offense. The Big 12 is the old PAC 10 with all the passing and no defense and no titles from the 80s and 90s. The true dual threat QBs and top RBs with a rugged running game and a top 10 defense will win a title, but dropping back 30-50 times and exposing your QB to injury won't win a title, but it can win the Big 12, Heismans and stats records. Baylor was the best Big 12 team, but crashed because their QB went down. They won the bowl, running the ball with no QB. Run the ball and play defense!!! Bama lost the #1 WR to the draft and got the #1 HS 5 star WR in Ridley and has the #1 5 JUCO DT coming.

The fact that you rebutt the point Jameis Winston runs a pass biased offense by drawing some academic distinction between 'West Coast' and 'Spread' shows just how moronic your point is.

Is OU's offense 'Spread' by your arbitrary definition? How exactly does that differ from 'West Coast'? Wait. OU runs 'Air Raid'. No wait, they have a two back set.

Summary: You are an idiot.

Also, Cam Newton threw more TDs than the rest of the team, including himself, had rushing. Way to go!

Yep, Newton was so fast he could throw a pass...to himself.

They were going to do it but there's something about him being an ineligible receiver.

Right, certain MNC teams don't count because they were "weak" or were "west Coast" rather than "spread". To sum up, they don't count if they prove your theory wrong. Got it...
