A question: Do you believe that the 2025 Gamecock football team will be better than we were last year?

A constant around here since Debo.
Yep. I went to the Gator Bowl vs. Notre Dame. Bought my tickets before all of the quitters announced their intentions. After the game, knowing full well the Cocks were a 17-point superior team had they played with a full squad (the Irish only had 2 quitters where we had 7), I told my wife that was our last bowl game trip until the celebration of quitters ended, & we've gone to pretty much all the bowls. Did not go to the Citrus vs. Illinois. Very glad I kept the money in my pocket. Won't be long before we start seeing quitters not play the final game of the season vs. that school upstate, as it'll be deemed "meaningless." Sickens me.

Only contracts will stem the tide of quitting.

A lot of guys have to step up on the interior OL and Dl. Until that’s proven, it’s hard to say we will be better this year even with Lanorris being a magician

Sellers was something of an unknown last season and took some defenses by surprise. This season, he is well known as the main offensive threat and DCs will scheme to contain him. Unless the OL is better, look for Sellers to have a down year compared to the end of last season.

I don’t disagree at all. He has to improve as a passer and get the ball out on time

Worse. We have a long history of following up success with disappointment.
2010 Kentucky game loss - a week after what was indisputably our greatest football victory ever over an outstanding Alabama team.

Group of us old geezer types doing manly things down @ the Once, a He Man" Retirement & Social compound along banks of the great Lil Pee Dee river. Brilliance poured forth, for a little while anyway, as we mustard the resolve to remain sober enuff to skillfully disected a similar question.
Conclusion? Its all on the staff this year. Last year's success led to heightened enthusiasm by fans, recruits & brought favorable attention upon the football program. Great buildup for the upcoming season.
But, like the infamous Hulk Hogan famously stated, " whut ya gonna do", next year?
Success last year aided recruiting & enthusiasm across all quadrants. Unfortunately, it also drained the experience cupboard. Success this year, "all" on the staff to plug & play.
Equally as important for the upcoming season. This is CSB's year to put all doubters who've questioned his ability to be HC, to bed, for good.
Then, we ran outta adult beverages.
