A question for golfers in the Lexington area.

Sorry for starting a new thread but wasn't sure if my question would be seen in the golf thread. Anyway I am looking to let my daughter try out a few driver and shaft combos to see what she likes so I am bringing her to Lexington Saturday. I was wondering who is the best place in the area to try out clubs? I know there is Edwin Watts and Golf Exchange but have never been to either one and don't know if they would have several ladies clubs to try. I also wasn't sure if there is a non big box store that would be better than either of those stores. Thanks in advance.

You used to be able demo clubs at Man O War golf. If that is still true, I would recommend there because you actually can hit a true shot on a driving range and not hitting it into a net with a computer tracking it. I don't know if they still let you do that or not, but I would certainly call to check.

Golf exchange, Edwin watts, and man o war will all have a few clubs to try. What you are wanting is a club fitting session. Go to man o war and pay for it. $75 but they apply it to the cost of the club when you buy it.

Thanks guys. I am hoping one of those places might have a used PXG driver for her to try as well. They are having a sale right now but you can only purchase direct from them.

She has Cobra fairway woods and really likes them. She has also been using an old Callaway Diablo Octane driver of mine that she loves but the shaft is too long and the flex is too stiff as well so we want to try out Cobra, Callaway and PXG's for sure.

I just bought a new driver from Golf Exchange and even though you are hitting into a net they have the fancy "track man" system that should be pretty accurate. They guy who does the fitting seems very knowledgeable about spin rates/shafts/attack angles/etc. They charge $50 for a fitting session if you don't buy a club from them but no charge if you purchase a club. I bought the Callaway Epic Max there about a month ago. They also gave me a decent value for trading in my old driver that I had no use for.

Edwin Watts probably has more club selection but not as high tech a system to track your shots into the net and not as sure about the staff.

The Cobra RADSPEED XB driver is a really good option. Very neutral ball flight setup, lowish soon, and plenty of forgiveness. It's about $100 cheaper than all the other big OEM's stuff and plays as good or better than most of them.

PXG has a square face driver that is all the rage. All their new hybrids are square face as well. If you have a good swing it’s easier to work the ball r2ll2r than with rounded face heads. Parsons knows his stuff.

We went there but the only thing they had in ladies clubs were complete sets so no help from them.
