This sort of blew my mind...

Kentucky has a winning record historically against Duke -- 13-11.

Kentucky has also won MOST of the important, consequential games between the programs: 3-1 in games I'd rate as of major significance: 1966 Final Four, Kentucky. 1978 Championship, Kentucky. 1992 Elite Eight (Laettner Stomping a defenseless player Game) Duke in Overtime. 1998 Elite Eight Game: Kentucky in a legendary comeback.

But when was the last time before last night Kentucky beat Duke WEARING WHITE UNIFORMS?
I suspect the older fans will get this one fast, and be as surprised as I was...

I'll go with March, 1980.
Mid East Regional at Rupp.
Duke beat the Cats something like 55-54. Kyle Macy missed a jumper at the buzzer.
Two nights later, Purdue beat Duke to go to Indy for the Final Four.
I attended both games as I was a Freshman at UK that year.
