I don’t remember ever seeing this but I actually liked this proposal from him. I think had it happened it could have changed the face of CFB as a whole. I think his concerns and concerns today are very real especially the cost it would be to schools like KSU if the B12 ever did fold.

Because so few people in the PAC care about college sports even the very best PAC TV ratings are not very good. The TV ratings for all but OU and UT in the big 12 are not very good either.

In the long term a Big 12-Pac 12 merger of any type could never keep OU financially competitive with the Big Ten or SEC particularly when we consider what the distributions of the Big Ten or SEC would move to if OU and UT moved to either conference as a package deal.

Staying in the Big 12 is probably smarter for OU.....but I think OU eventually moves to the Big Ten with UT...
