I wanted to bump this and thank Lou and team for putting this together.

Jershon is one of my all time favorite NU basketball players. The emotion displayed by the entire team when Jershon and Sobo left the game last Thursday night was something. It showed just how close-knit this team is.

It was also great to have Big Ivy here for a year. Jeremiah made a big contribution in the post and was fun to watch.

The article says a lot about Jershon, the coaching staff and the University. Kudos to BC for recruiting a quality athlete and person in Jershon, kudos to Jershon for sticking with NU after the transition, and kudos to CC, his staff and the administration in sticking with Jershon and having him graduate with good vibes concerning his NU experience. A win win for all concerned. Best of luck to Jershon going forward in life on and off the court. I can see him coming back to NU as an assistant coach down the line.

Tom Crean takes a lot of shots from everyone, but that was a classy move on his part to talk to Jershon on his way off the court.

A VERY well deserved tribute.

Jershon: Your story of persistence, focus, and loyalty has made me even more proud to be a die-hard fan. We will always need guys like you, with your high level of talent as well, to keep Wildcats hoops moving forward and upward. We can just hope to find a few (ideally MORE than a few), to emulate you and join your talented teammates.
