I think folks might be reading a little too much into how the offense performed. Johnson did play really well. Snell and Boom as well. He did look very comfortable out there and the moment didn't look too big for him. All positives and certainly a boost for fans who may have already given. Myself included.
However, this was against a pretty bad team. A perennially bad team. SEC teams, even bad ones, have athletes that can play. USC may not be a very good team, but they are not NMSU either. Some of those plays may not be executed like they were against NMSU. JMO.

NMSU is literally one of the worst teams in FBS. I'm happy for our players but we have to understand who we played. South Carolina's defense is light years better and well their offense is probably at least equal to NMSU

Having a week to prepare for Johnson will help USCjr a ton.

The TE slip pass is easily defended if you expect it. We hadn't ran it all year.

SJ doesn't have Pookie's speed but I hope he's one that avoids hard tackles.

I'd like our chances better had he replaced Drew vs the Cocks than giving them plenty of film.
