It was a super weak class but even if you watched him in HS and AAU it was a strange ranking .
I wonder what goes through the mind of a college athlete that is on his third team in three years .
A penny for his thoughts. Not sure what his blockage is with taking the next step. Could be confidence maybe but even with confidence issues you can still play hard, defense and rebound. He just seems to be stuck in that void between high school and the next level.
Our posters get upset when any former player shows any allegiance to other coaches or programs yet we sit here and bash them and are completely unappreciative of their time at UK. Dude got so much hate while here and even more after leaving, yet we expect them to be loyal.
Potential. There aren't that many 7 footers, and among 7 footers there aren't that many who are athletic and coordinated. You take a gamble that strength and basketball skills will develop enough to be a high level player.

Any other year, had UK gotten the 2nd, 3rd and 6th ranked player in the class, it would have been amazing. Instead, UK got Bradshaw, Wagner and Edwards. Edwards had a pretty decent rookie year, so that's 100% on Cal..believe it or not, Edwards was 5th in rookie scoring and 8th in 3 point percentage among rookies who played at least half the season.
Never had anything against Bradshaw.

But we sure as hell welcome players from other teams who transfer to UK ?? It absolutely kills me, some will get pissed when a kid leaves UK, but applaud the hell out of a kid leaving someone else and coming here.

That’s crazy to think about. Goes to show why relying on freshman is dangerous, especially these days. You obviously take a top 10 recruit but otherwise, you’re probably better off with a solid guy from the portal.
Always looked for Edwards to hit another gear. Instead, he often hit the bottom of the rim on dunks.
Yeah, Edwards just never quite clicked here. We saw flashes of "Wow, this dude is gonna be good" and never saw it consistently.
Pretty sure you answered your own question. He looked like he was going to be able to stretch a defense which would allow him to do a 1 maybe 2 dribble drive to the rim. Hasn't came to fruition but that's why they thought he was going to be one of the better players. Being a toothpick still has hurt him.
