Did anyone else always buy these and love them? I remember really getting excited when I went to the grocery store and this was in stock. I always knew it wouldn't be long till basketball when this came out. Anybody know why they quit making these? I really miss em and know they were out for a long time

I'm not sure, Pisgah, but there is so much info on the internet now...so maybe that's a possible reason.

That's true lol I honestly never thought about that! Call me a little old school but I'll always prefer something tangible over digital. Just like music is rather buy an album and have it then download and I'm in my 20's lol

Agreed here. I am all for the new-age technology, but there is something about having a hard-copy college bball preview. I have bought 3 already this year in various airports. One thing that I never paid attention to, is that they base the cover pages on most local schools - example, I was in Birmingham last week and grabbed a copy with both an Auburn/Bama player on the front. Then was in St. Louis and was a Biliken player on the front of the same magazine. Must be a blast trying to keep that straight. LOL.

Yeah it's crazy they manage to make so many different covers and get em to the right place. I have family in Kentucky and one year I was looking and saw the UK and Lville cover and was confused cuz I had one with Duke UNC

It's not The ACC Basketball Handbook but I bought the ACC Basketball 2015 Annual per ACC Sports journal. Sells foe $7.99 and I bought mine at Harris Teeter. Good articles, info and lots of pics. Cover boys are from The Big Four. Duke's Grayson Allen, UNC Marcus Paige ,NCSU Cat Barbour and W.F. Devin Thomas. Also pics of cheerleaders and Duke's is just as pretty as any of them. OFC

I was a contributor. What they told me was that they couldn't break even on sales and lost their biggest advertiser, thus negatively impacting their bottom line.

And I suspect the internet would have made long-term survival questionable.

But, yes, I miss it to.

I used to love those two. I looked forward to them every year, and poured over them. I think I kept them all too. I probably have them somewhere dating back to my middle school years, like ones from 1994 and 1995 with Drew Barry on the front I think.
