ESPN Announces Matchups for 2026 SEC/ACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Challenges

The Atlantic Coast Conference, in conjunction with ESPN and the Southeastern Conference, has announced the matchups for the 2026 SEC/ACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Challenges.

Should be a nice matchup to determine how well our backcourt can defend and penetrate. LSU will likely lean very heavily on its three guards (Jada Williams, Milaysia FulWiley, & Mikaylah Williams) that all have scoring ability and athleticism which will be the strength of their team. Rebounding from the guard positions for us will be critical. I’m confident that CB will have the team ready defensively and this year she has the physical bodies in the backcourt that will hopefully hold up well with the pressure.

It appears that the majority of our teams will be playing away than at home. I thought the committee tries to even the home and away games. Was this the same way last season where you had more of the SEC teams playing at ACC schools? or was it the other way around?
