From video, doesnt look awful? Maybe a hip injury instead of leg?

Great. There were no threads on the topic when I posted.

That doesn't show much.

Yeah looks like hip related.. Maybe knee though? Someone posted a pic of him being walked off by two teammates on either sidr, but NOT carried. Good sign maybe?

From the video, definitely looks like he landed awkwardly. Looks like his hip area took the brunt of that. Hope it's nothing more than a strain. Thinking about ya, big fella.

OP,

At least you got that info out first. I mean, waiting to see what actually happened before writing a panic-stricken thread might have cost you some time, and you'd have had to settle for someone else posting a sensationalist thread about Davis' potential injury.

Glad to hear AD is okay, but I'm trying to wrap my brain around the idea of being able to jump so high I could severely injure myself on the way down.

He wasn't the first, and his thread title and post wasn't sensationalistic at all.

I didn't mention thread title; I mentioned thread, and in his thread he cited twitter as his prime example for concern, hence the sensationalism.

But I suppose my idea of sensationalism might be different than yours. Perhaps you consider twitter a reasonable source for accurate information. I don't.

He told exactly what happened to a beloved player. I fail to see the problem. There is a thread telling the first half score of an IU game. That's a waste of space. Go pick on that guy.

Starting a thread about a beloved player and citing twitter with the implication that something remarkably bad has happened to Davis is, in my opinion, sensationalism.

Maybe you didn't see it that way. Guess what? I can live with that.

I'm just glad Davis is OK. I Usually wait but I know people on this board who love davis and he's our great. I also had 3 text saying davis went down. There was nothing on the board so I posted it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Bottom line is Davis is okay. That's good news all around.

You actually are wrong. First and foremost, if you don't know that Twitter is the place to get news before any media outlet gets it on the web, then you are missing the evolution of technology.

Secondly, multiple people on twitter that are sports analyst were saying that it looked like a serious injury.

The title wasn't sensational nor was the thread. Davis is a player that most basketball fans love and it just makes sense that a UK forum has a thread about potentially horrible news.

Don't get me wrong, I understand full well what you meant as there are tons of ignorant people out there that do stupid threads as you suggested. But this one wasn't one of them.

from the way he was acting on the ground, i thought he just took a shot to the junk, but i didn't see that type of impact on replay.

According to CBS Sports, he has a groin injury and is supposed to get a MRI on it today.

I'm of the persuasion that you withhold judgment on sports injuries, especially as they pertain to Kentucky players. Citing twitter as a fact check, regardless of your patronizing rebuttal, is the stuff of firing first before knowing the facts.

The fact that the OP hasn't changed his thread title now that it's clear Davis is okay really only reinforces everything I initially thought.

It should tell you something that you are the only one offended by the thread title and/or contents. But hey man, continue on fighting the good fight!

Hope MRI comes back negative. What AD has become as a player is truly remarkable. Keep up the good work big fella and keep making BBN proud to call you our own.

The fact that you keep harping on it despite the fact that AD is going for an MRI today reinforces what we all think of you. You are just trying to be the board police and/or want to try to prove yourself correct all the time. Just relax, dude.

I merely originally disagreed with the operative wording of the OP's original implications.

In retrospect, it's not a big deal. AD is fine, although I did find it interesting that you referenced "we all" when speaking for yourself.

Have you ever had an opinion that didn't require consensus? I'm sure you have. That's why this country is beautiful - we can have opinion and not have to test the winds to see if it's worth offering.

For the record, I'm for pretty much any thread finding life on this message board. Locking threads should only happen due to threats and hatred.

That said, the OP has the right to post whatever he wants.
