Maybe Heupel steers Tenn transfer portal kids towards OU now... Obviously, he tries to convince them to stay, but if they are already out the door, maybe he gets a word in on the situation.

Steer em out of the fire? It's the right thing to do. "Time is of the essence for these kids." Imo. Not like he has a choice, references are good. 😁

Gray was a good add...seems like the roster holes have been filled in well. Let’s get after it in spring ball and see where the chips fall. Very excited for this group.

Starting in 1999 when Florida's defensive coach became OU's head coach.....and "stopped the bleeding" abruptly.

True, but a very big difference. Bob Stoops was hired to coach OU. The transfers are not coming here for pay to play.....right.

True, but isn't an SEC school (Tennessee) having "a positive effect towards OU'S quest for another national championship"?
I know it's not to the same degree as hiring a coach who will be in the CFB Hall of Fame, but it's at least an effort to go in that direction.

That’s exactly what I was trying to imply. I must be having a bad day without realizing it. šŸ˜‚ It happens more often than I would like. Believe me.

As the great bubba-dent once said..."I feel your pain". Believe me !!
BTW, Bama, how are you doing ?
Outside of a "mild" case of severe aortic stenosis and an arthritic lower back, I'm as hale, hearty and horny as ever.

Physically, I am doing better than I expected to be doing at this age, but working hard to keep a clear mind. I read a lot and have quit watching cable news, which has helped. Lol. Just looking forward to playing golf and working in the yard again. I met my bucket list goal last golf season. I now have played 151 courses. 😃

I'm trying to do the same and it helps a lot avoiding cable news, which now is nothing more the propaganda-pimping on ALL networks. This keeps my blood pressure down and makes me enjoy life.
At 72, I have adopted a "siege mentality" to keep me focused on what really matters. It's not out of fear or paranoia....just a way to avoid BS. Family, friends, my dog, books and Netflix pretty much do the trick.
