Problem is we have tended to look so much worse against the best teams. Still have a few chances at quality wins, but we aren’t in great shape no matter what the overall metrics say.

Fair enough. From what I’ve seen so far, we don’t belong on the court with the 1-2 seeds.

Maybe there’s a world where we are a 6 or an 11 and we can matchup our way to a Sweet 16.

That’s me thinking logically. I’m always hopelessly optimistic for something better.

If he gets this bunch to the S16 he should get National Coach of the Year. There are a lot of people on here that would be ticked about that outcome because they would rather be "right" than see us win. It would be hysterical for MP to turn this season around after all the crap that has been spewed about him

I have some serious concerns, especially given we have no recruits for next season, but this team is absolutely capable of being better than they have shown. It sure would be nice if we could turn a corner and maybe even win the SEC Tournament.
