Hello Friends, big weekend upcoming! We are heading to a wedding in Chevy Chase in late September. Going to rent an air bnb from a Thursday-Monday. Looking for suggestions on locations around the Chesapeake Bay area, possibly Annapolis. I assume there are some very good locations for take-out blue crabs. Any suggestions for lodging location? Along the Servern River? Annapolis?

We do understand it will be a good hour to get the wedding.

Thanks in advance!

I would stay in inner harbor, SO much more to do. Annapolis is a one nite overnite town (to us). 4 nites in Annapolis would be yawn without a vessel

Have you been to inner harbor lately? As someone that works in Baltimore, it blows. You’re better off staying in Harbor East and taking Ubers to whatever neighborhoods you are looking to go to.

Find an AirBnB in Annapolis and go to Cantlers for crabs. If you do stay near Baltimore (not near the harbor) go to Nick's Fish House.

I’d second and third going to Cantlers. I’d also consider driving south on 2 to Happy Harbour or east to the Jetty

Navy has a home football game the last week of Sept. If you can, tour the academy and go to the game, if not, at least walk around downtown Friday night as all the Mids should be out. Thursday night you should drive over the bay bridge and hang out on Kent Island. The jetty, Narrows restaurant, fishermans crab deck or a brewery, plenty of options. The MD Renaissance Festival is going on each weekend in Sept, just west of Annapolis, tickets are only on line and get there early as the parking is in a huge field a la PSU football. Renditions golf course is not too far away in Davidsonville, book a tee time now though. Homestead gardens, also in Davidsonville, normally starts their fall festival around that time. Heading north you can get to Baltimore in 30 min or go towards to airport and there is a casino, MD Live.
