He's definitely got the yips from 3 right now, and it is not good. Hope he can find his way out.

The overall team shooting woes are sadly reminiscent of last year. And, it appears to be contagious as even Taylor is well off his averages from Evansville.

Taylor is the biggest surprise (disappointment) so far this year. I just hope it's a matter of him getting comfortable with his new teammates and system. If we are to have a good season, we need more from him.

Not to blow the surprise or anything....but when there's a substantial body of work future performance will trend with that.

So, AJ will make shots and end up shooting about his average over the course of the year.

makes sense but we have seen this before. Falzon was a "cant miss" shooter in HS. It didnt carry over in college. Taylor had a "cant miss" in college but hasnt found consistency here.
Somehow, they have all lost their confidence at the same time, save Law. And with no ability to threaten the opponent, off the dribble, our opponent just sets up 4 players around the perimeter to harass us.

He was much better as a sophomore than as a freshman at BC. As a soph, he was a passable .424/.374/.675. It’s early, but I’m *concerned*.

10-22 from 3pt
16-18 on FT

He’s a very good addition. Goodbye yips.

Now I hope Taylor can find himself and his shot within this system more regularly. He should be able to get mid to high teens points per game.

Next, get Falzon back from injury and capable of giving us 6 ppg off the bench.

Then, if Nance starts to put it together this season, we will have ourselves a team.

Don't forget about our best defensive player, Jordan Ash!

Does Chris Paul have any eligibility left?

Miller Kopp is quietly shooting 47 percent from 3. Quietly because he's only shot 17 3s so far. It'd be great to see him take a LOT more.

Possibly because he's taking open shots in rhythm? If he gets those kinds of opportunities frequently, I'm with you!

I'm sure CC will find more plays for Kopp as he adds new wrinkles to the offense the next few weeks. Kopp's defense may be the bigger hurdle to him staying in games and shooting more.

Do you think that is a coincidence ?

I thought at one point during the DePaul game, Collins got frustrated with Kopp for passing up a bunch of 3-point opportunities. But I agree with you -- I like that he's picking his spots for now and deferring to the upperclassmen otherwise. That will change as he gets more comfortable.
