Pope says Butler will get some live action in practice today but called it "modified." Also said Robinson will "be in some skill stuff today."

Getting close! Gotta like that
I am not a doctor, nor did I stay at a holiday inn express last night, but I would hold them out until Auburn. Winning at Bama would be uphill even with a full roster. I think we can beat OK without them. I want to see them as close to 100% as they are going to get this season before we play them.

Hold them until the sec tournament. Idc about any of these games if it means they could get reinjured

It sounds good that they are getting close. I think the players themselves will have some say ini it when they feel like they can get back on the court.

Still need Chandler, Noah and Perry to step it up, continue on with Ansley Almonor, get some Garrison contributing positively, and move forward with Oweh, Brea, Williams and Carr leading the way.

I'm thinking Alabama, for whatever reason why, I don't know, call it "one of those feelings" isn't going to score 90+ - or remotely close to that - this time around.

I'll go with a Coach Pope special tweak to put a few wrinkles in the game with our altered personnel roster. But if Sears and Nelson can put on another dominating performance like that, then they may beat us again.

I ain't bettin' on it, though.

Go Big Blue !

It's a tricky situation. Obviously we don't want them to play too soon and get reinjured........then the season is completely derailed.

At the same rate, that Oklahoma game is very much needed. It's in the same light as the Texas one we thought we would be able to grab without guys and unfortunately did not.

We are currently a two point favorite on Kenpom with that game. That's probably assuming Butler/Robinson. Without them, we might go into that as an underdog.

We certainly "could" win that one. But that's definitely not a slam dunk.

That’s better news than Robinson can’t use his wrist at all.

We absolutely must beat Oklahoma and LSU.

I hope Chandler wasn't a one game wonder. I remember saying how great Noah was and then he dropped off the next two games. And of course on the road at AL against a quick and athletic top ten team is a tough place for a freshman to succeed. I just don't think Perry has the athleticism and speed to play 40 minutes against AL so I'm hoping Chandler has another impressive showing.

Carr was in bad shape with his back the first time around against bama.
Nelson went off. With a healthy Carr back to being healthy, physical and more confident I am eager to see how that plays out.
That won't be the mismatch that oats will seek to exploit this time round...I suspect he's going to attack w/ Sears going at the basket all day long. Bama coming off back-to-back losses is going to make it doubly tough.
