Great talent . It would shock me if he committed here. He’s a west coast kid so hopefully Jason Hart has a great relationship with him .
Yeah no doubt, I would think Arizona is gonna get him honestly, legacy recruits are hard to get.

Kid's arms look kind of skinny, he definitely doesn't have the guns his father used to have.

Agree as well, hard for me to see him coming to Kentucky. But, if we're still recruiting him and he's been undecided this long, seems like there has to be a chance. I don't exactly know the relationship between Pope (and staff) with Gilbert, but similar NBA era for a few of them so that could be a good sign.

I will say, the daughter chose Louisville over Arizona and Oregon, so maybe that's a positive sign...

I would say Zona. Now Gilbert was great player. I got to witness him first hand watching the Wizards he was electric. Mistreated by wizards.

If he wants to be coached by a great Coach that also played in Nba , that run modern offense similar to what he a player enjoyed, and treats players with respect but also challenges them and develops them, Pope and Kentucky will be where he should send his son.

West coast kids normally don't do well at UK over the years. There are a few that have but they seem think it is too far from home.

I often hold to the principle of a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. But, hypothetically, if adding Arenas caused either Johnson to change his mind, or meant we could not add a top transfer portal 3pt making SG, then which would you rather have:

1) Arenas & Johnson
2) Johnson & top portal SG
3) Arenas & top portal SG

why couldn't Arenas play the small forward spot?
isn't he about the same size as Robinson?
always need someone that can score, especially in Pope's offense
