has the entire year been sandbagging and drops and emphasis on the run game so that we could have single coverage all day and throw bombs?

Thank you Lamar Thomas!

Thank you Coach Gran for a brilliant "game plan", if Coach Thomas was instrumental in that exercise, praise to him also!!!!!

Louisville put 8 to 9 in the box trying to keep us from running the ball down their throats so we just went over the top. They took a risk and forced Kentucky to break its tendencies and lost big.

It's a strategy that I would have probably used as well.

Our passing game had been inconsistent through the season. Early we were (I'm generalizing here) passing inaccurately. Then as Johnson (and very importantly -- our offensive line) progressed our receivers were dropping critical passes. The dropped pass against UGA (and fumble/interception) was one of the most critical negative plays of our season.

While that was going on, our running game was breaking records.

Fortunately for us, Stephen Johnson just kept getting better...and finally against UofL our receivers made the catches.

We've thrown long balls all year long with Johnson...We came out a bit earlier throwing deep as they have a better run defense and we needed to soften them up a bit would be my opinion why we threw it earlier than usual.
