I know there has been some small talk of Kyler returning.. I was just questioning with some buddies the chance of him making a return, and something that got brought up was the thought of Justin Fields not looking Oklahoma’s way at all, while Haselwood still committed today. They were rumored to be a package deal, and I know that was probably all speculation. But I wonder if Fields hears the chance of Murray returning and thinks the better shot would be OsU. It’s all speculation, just an interesting thought!

Why not make a run for a 2nd Heissman ? (it would be payback for the one that got stolen from Little Joe). I'll believe it if I see it, for now color me skeptical

If can happen if that’s what he wants. It’s just money. He’s no worse off than before he was drafted. He just needs to make a choice. He could always go back to baseball.

I agree, gotta do football NOW if that’s what he wants to do. Weather that’s NFL or Oklahoma. Baseball will still be there. Tough to give up that football career when you know the first stop in baseball will be in the AA, AAA ranks.

No, Riley made a promise a long time ago to Rattler that he would only take one QB in the 2019 class. There was never a chance that Riley would have taken Fields.

Yes, there were rumors that Fields and Haselwood would have liked to play together. Obviously, it wasn't the case as Haselwood committed to OU before the December signing date.

Good point, I forgot the eyes had already come out before the signing period! Lol

I could see Rattler playing this year regardless of what Mordecai and Kendall do. Rattler may simply be too good to redshirt.
And the receiving corps potential is off the charts even with Brown’s departure.

See I always feel like if you have a kid of that caliber and you know he’s the future, get him going now. It may mean a 9-3 season or a 10-2, but he can take that next step. Obviously Lincoln has a good feel for those guys.

I'm reading right that he actually verbally committed to Riley 3 months ago?

I am hesitant to post this, without more links, and I didn't save those, but today, the pot started 'simmering' with more What If? Stories regarding Kyler returning. A few of them...The As aren't totally opposed to his coming back for his Senior Season. Kyler has learned that he actually enjoys Football, more than baseball. His Mentors and former Coaches have verified a lot of the info' and mention that he would undoubtedly make more $$ in Football...

I have moved from 'In OUr Dreams' to 'I wouldn't be surprised'. After seeing how much FUN he was having, and how much he seemed to be enjoying playing, I started considering that it COULD/MIGHT Happen...

https://stormininnorman.com/2019/01...rumors-swirl-on-possible-kyler-murray-return/

Even more than returning to OU, speculation is growing that he will declare for the NFL ...

It may be more money than he has (at present). His ability to continue with football depends on his exit or cancellation clause in his contract with the A's or whether they would waive that clause.

With the losses OU will have on the Oline, it would be a massive gamble for Kyler to come back to play one more year of college ball.

Here's a rumor circulating...supposedly KM's agent met with the A's last week to discuss the idea of Murray returning for his senior season.

NFL caliber players return to play their senior seasons if they can play better and improve their NFL draft stock. Kyler just won the Heisman. His stock is as high as it will ever be as the only thing stopping him from being an early first round prospect is his height, and he ain't growing with one more year :D

He gone. Now, if he plays QB or baseball going forward can still be a debate. But I highly doubt he returns for his senior season, unless it's truly just "for fun" as a thing he does after the baseball season is over (assuming he decides NFL is not in his future).
