Amari has played well for us this season and I am grateful for his contribution.

But I cannot help but notice his demeanor completely changes when something does not go his way. He has flashes of absolute greatness like his coast-to-coast, then when he screws up like the whiffed layup, he immediately gives up and hangs his head.

I think he is the reason for our success, but I just hope he does not get in his head if we want to make a run.

Thoughts?

He alluded to something about not really having his head in a game unless he's angry, said something about that the other day. I noticed it yesterday. A switch seemed to go off and he started dunking and getting physical with the rebounds.

I remember they said that during the game. Then he got angry, and played worse.

He's cheeks guys. But if you need a big that can sometimes throw an okay pass to a cutter, he's solid. But if you need him to do anything else, he can't.

Prefer B.G. tbh

He wants to win really badly. So when things aren’t going well or as he wanted his face shows it. Don’t know why we wouldn’t want a guy that wants it this badly. Some of our fans are so FOS.

I find it funny our starting power forward had two rebounds last night. Amari had 13. But the guy with 13 didn't play hard enough and needs to be tougher.

The reason he's not rushing out to the three is he's in the paint doing dirt work while other 4 are picking their nose 1000 feet from action. He's asked to do a ton, offensively and defensively, so it's easy to make mistakes.

He could do things better. But he's criticized way too much.

He definitely had a bad scoring game. Double digit in rebounds. Was some talk he had tweaked his back...but he has played Jekyll/Hyde all season. When he is on his game he is pretty special. When not he is just struggling in some way.

Garrison is a much better defender and yeah his motor is much higher. If Williams played with that energy he would have been an all American

Anyone who would objectively prefer Brandon Garrison over Amari Williams at this point in time, doesn’t know **** about basketball

We would not be a 3 seed without Amari. He finds a way to help in every game and distributes the ball tremendously. His turnovers are frustrating, I get it. But the ball is in his hands a lot.
We would probably be a 2 seed.
I can't think of one thing he does that I want our next big man to duplicate. Not one. He rebounds because balls bounce to a 7 ft guy before they do a 6 ft guy. He has no idea how to rebound correctly.
His hande, sure he can handle the ball but 5 out of 10 times he needs to give it up sooner and dribbled off his foot.

I can not stand not going back up strong to get his missed shot. His hands go down to his waist n stands and watches
This is not opinion either. It's all stuff the dude does every game

It's like the people that love him don't see all the mistakes he makes. Those mistakes are crucial reasons we lose games.

They act like we get pleasure out of him being bad and making those mistakes. No, I wish I could watch him and he'd hoop. But that's not the case.

I spent most of the season wondering how he received all the Defensive accolades at Drexel.

That idiot posted on here before that Oscar was trash (or something to that effect). He's kind of dumb.

Well... we won 1 tournament game with Oscar focused teams in 2 years. And you blamed the guy who wasn't on the court. Oscar was a nice guy, but put up meaningless stats. Was a siv on defense.

Maybe that's why he only dominates on G-League courts now.
