Amile had a pretty up and down season. I take no issue with anybody who wants to reasonably discuss a players struggles and I do believe Amile had a lot this year....

But Saturday and tonight, Amile was EXTRAORDINARY and without question, we could not have won the national without him. Sometimes guys hit a bit of a rough patch, but in the biggest games, in biggest times, on the biggest stage, Amile was the captain and player we needed him to be and he played his very best ball.

Frankly, he looked just a lil like Battier out there with his defense!

It's a gift to see young men like him continue to persevere no matter whats going on and have it finally pay off. This young man will ALWAYS be a Duke champion, because he has sacrificed and played his guts out.

Thank you Amile!!

Amile is the ultimate glue guy. He flat out saved us against Utah when everyone was flustered and took on the national player of the year last night. His 7 boards, two forced turnovers and post defense was amazing down the stretch.

Hope I meet this kid one day to tell him how much his game is appreciated.

Its crazy how basketball works.... for the last half of the year we were better off without him in most games as we went small and Winslow really clicked. Then in the biggest moment of the year, with our best players in foul trouble and no one that matches up with he NPOY here come Amile to get 2-3 major stops.

To all the clowns on this board who have downplayed Amile's contributions all year, I think the G.O.A.T. knows a hell of a lot more about basketball than you do. Great job Amile! OFC

Loved seeing him up at the podium after the game. He's the ultimate team-first player. So happy he's on our team.

Very few kids know and accept their role on a team, but I must say Amile is one of the most humble young men I have ever watched. Even when he has a chance to get in the limelight, he always defers to his teammates. He is Duke all over and I have really enjoyed having him on this team.
Go Duke!!

Amile is a near perfect Dukie. He plays within himself, and does all the little things (that don't show up in the box score) but wins games. His defense down the stretch in the Wisconsin game saved Duke's bacon. Grayson, and Stones were terrific, but Amile made a stand on the defensive end.
