Texas A&M doesn't have that great a defense, he's doing pretty good, but the last two teams he's faced are not two of the SECs top tier defenses., remember Kentucky defense makes a lot of back ups look good, just saying.

Jackson is outstanding. He is a great young QB. I can't stand UL but Lamar Jackson is a weapon.

Thank You. I don't understand why this is so hard to do for most people.

Every time a rival team has a good team or a good game or a good player the rival fan base tries to be clever or something and try to quantify or explain away why the team is winning or why the player is good instead of just acknowledging that they are good and moving on. How someone can look at what Lamar Jackson has done this year and not acknowledge that he's a special player is beyond my comprehension.

Though there's probably no way to quantify this, I would bet that Jackson has received more compliments from UK fans tonight than the total amount of compliments for all UK players on your board, for the entire year.

That may be true. All fans are terrible for that...I'm not singling out UK fans.

Most Louisville fans identified and praised the best players for UK last season. Both Boom and Forrest received many respectful observations, and rightfully so. I was very high on your Offensive Lineman @ LT - I apologize for a senior moment and forgetting his name - dude is a player and will play on Sundays. Westry also got many props. The fact is, most of the other UK ballplayers were not so praise-worthy, which goes with the team's overall performance. But those 3 players could start of Louisville and do well. They were always tabbed as the talent of your team.

Agree, though it will be interesting to see what he looks like next year after opposing coaching staffs have had an entire off season to study his film at length and perhaps develop better game plans to address his abilities. I feel like most teams have underestimated him to this point, and overestimated their own ability to cope with him without dramatic adjustment. As much as he uses his feet (and to great effect) you really have to consider something basic and obvious (like a "spy") to deal with him, and let it go from there with the scheming battle. I think he will be challenged in that manner next year. I can't say that I saw anyone take this step (at least regularly) this season.

Lamar Jackson was impressive have to give him credit.

He beat us, and he was the only reason they were able to hold on last night.

He will be the QB at UL for the next 3 seasons.

You have to give credit where credit's due.

Makes me sick as to why we miss out on guys like that. We have had 4-5 4 stars here that haven't done crap and they bring in a true freshmen that plays like Cam Newton.

Why did it take The Genius 12 games to start him? Shoulda been starting from Day One.
Because he was so sporadic to begin with and because Bolin earned the position for a while by simply playing better. Then also because Lamar got hurt, causing him to have to heal for 3 games in late midseason.

The Genius did start him in several games this season. At this point in his career LJ is a athlete and not the QB type CBP is used to having. He still has a lot to improve on to be the best QB he can be. Once he learns to read defenses better and works on his under center footwork along with his present skills, he will be a more dangerous QB.

It going to be interesting this Spring implementing LJ athletic skill set into a Traditional Petrino offense...if they pull it off going to be fun to watch.

And right now the only Red Pom Pom that Andre Ware is using is for his old school Houston...leading FSU by 11 going into the 4th Quarter in the Peach Bowl

He is a talented kid and it will be interesting to see how Petrino uses him but I think you'll see Petrino change more than trying to change Jackson next year. I think Petrino knows you don't have to over coach this situation just stick to the basic read option with a few throw wrinkles and let it play out. Simple as that.

Good, not great win for UL. Always good to win a bowl game but seemed to be another opponent that was really struggling. They had a lot of them this year but made the most of that. Usually really bothers me to see them win but this time just didnt' seem that big a deal.

Look, I dislike Louisville more than any teams not named Tennessee. That said, it's the name across the front and the coach on the sidelines that I hate (in a rival aspect), not the kids out there playing. Louisville's basketball team seems likable as well as their football team. I can't say that has always been the case, but it seems like good kids.

I wish he would suck and UL would lose every game but the fact of the matter is this. Lamar Jackson is phenomenal and is a very serious weapon for the Cardinals. No he may not be the prototypical Petrino QB but that makes it even scarier. Petrino's biggest asset isn't the style of offense he prefers, it's the fact that he is a master play caller. Having such a dual threat young star in the making leading his offense is going to make things dangerous for every defense.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not crowning Louisville. In fact, I think that we had a better team this year and will have a better team next year. Will that translate to the field? Who knows? It did for a half this season but my point is, Lamar is the real deal. He's wearing a color that I will not root for, but I do enjoy watching him play and wish him success and fulfillment of his dreams. I just hope he starts sucking against us.

LJ is a talented athlete but he can be stopped as Wake, BC and Pitt proved. Of course he can break a play at any time but still teams have to prepare for him. After our game with them half of our D players said we didn't prepare for him!!

A&M was the ninth or tenth best team in the SEC.

Coming to our board to justify your existence after all the hating and bashing you do on your board with our program, players and coaches and expect some kind of love makes you just another delusional losserville fan.

I never said anything about A&M or tried to justify any kind of win. It doesn't need justification. UL won another bowl game and beat an 8 win SEC team...end of story. But part of your post is part of the problem I was referring to...you start your post out by trying to "quantify" A&M and saying where they are ranked in the SEC instead of just acknowledging they made it to the bowl and that UL beat the team in front of them.
