I am not here to bash Andrew. I am here to say that it is fully on his shoulders to fix this. He is in charge of both platoons, the bench, the walk-ons, the chemistry, the huddles, the plays, everything. This is Andrew's team. If the defense isn't communicating, if the offense is stagnant, if effort isn't there then Andrew has to fix it. He came back to win a championship. He came back to get better. He came back to be more vocal and be the leader he never really was...well, it's time.
I will defend him to everyone outside of BBN until my dying breath and I understand we ARE UNDEFEATED. That is crazy. Kentucky rarely has starts like this. However, that does NOT mean that everything is perfect and we should just sit on our hands and drink to the blue Kool-Aid. This is Kentucky...this isn't any other program. The eight letters on the front represent more than just the eight banners hanging in Rupp. They represent the fighting spirit of Big Blue Nation. One game does not break us - especially a road victory against a conference opponent.
I am a stat guy and fan like you are. I do not get paid to solve the problems on the team. I get just as frustrated as you do and then I go nerd out on my calculator to figure out who we are and who we are becoming. And the numbers and the regression these last 7 halves of basketball reflect a need for some sort of change in effort and focus.
I still believe in my team. I believe in Andrew Harrison. I believe in John Calipari. I wouldn't trade a single player or coach for any other in the country. From Ralph Beard to Tyler Ulis, this is Kentucky basketball and we do it better than everyone else...and that will always endure.
Go Big Blue.
Kentucky basketball will endure
