I actually started to tune into his show with Lachlan. One guy sort of chewed on the other one, and it was entertaining to hear.
A few weeks ago, I was hammering on Lachlan via email (his misrepresentation of U of L's deal with Bailout Arena), and I told him that Deener messed up badly separating them. Lachlan does monologues now reminiscent of his tenure with WHAS 840, and Sweeney drags guys onto the air who have no business there.
I hope it's a reversible situation...

Well apparently Drew Deener either plays favorites when he hires people or he just get’s lucky with some of his hires, i.e., Mark Ennis, Luke Hancock, basketball folks at the 10 a.m. hour, etc. Sweeney is worse than Lachlan and Lachlan is horrible. WTH even Bob Valvano is terrible.

I don't listen to sports talk radio much anymore, but just curious... One a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being Tony Malito, where do you rate this guy?
I went back to classic rock music and dropped the talk radio. Makes for a much better attitude with less drama in my ear.

It’s almost impossible to be smarmy and boring at the same but most of the local hacks got it down pat.
Uh, how about 1.1 at best. Malito is the worst but Sweeney is a very close 2nd. For example Paul Rogers would be a 9.9 out of 10.

Satellite radio will change your commute forever. I can't believe I ever listened to the local stuff. I like Ennis and I liked Anderson, but the rest are insufferable. And, yes, Sweeney is the absolute worst hands down.
I love Maybin and R&R. Ennis & Luke are cool too.
Deener is paid to “like” UofL. Lachlame is so, so, so, so bad. Sweeney is a screeching pos. Valvano eats on air with his mouth on the mic and Jurich was “mean” to him. It’s a clown car of piss poor talent.
I do have Sirius/XM, I like it, also listen to Podcasts. Podcasts are a godsend.

I do enjoy Maybin and Rummage, I even called into the show this past Monday, 1st time I've ever called into any sports radio show.

We didn't have a convo, I just called into the show and told Maybin and Rummage live during the show that we'll be 5-1 and have College GameDay for the Clemson game, Rummage said what I said isn't crazy now.
