I hope Dick has a bad mic or he misses his flight or he does something to screw up his grating voice..........

This ruined my day.

I can't imagine actually listening to the TV announcers. I stopped doing that years ago. Turning them off is certainly better than trying to listen to the idiots.

Yay, now I get to hear how Calapari and Tom Crean should work out something and get the IU-UK series back

EXACTLY the reason why I never listen to the TV broadcast.

Mike Pratt and Tom Leach for the win.

Me too. I always liked him, as goofy as he was.

BTW, he's currently on a four-game losing streak in the SEC. The Hogs haven't won a league game yet. At this point he might be wishing he'd never left the booth.

I watched the football game last night on espn classic ch 614 on direct tv. The game was shown with no announcers and it was nice. GBB

I doubt ole Dick will be talking as much as usual about Duke after that big spanking.

More of it is directed how Cal should work something out, like scheduling is all on Cal.

He truly is a mere shadow of his former self. I remember when he really added excitement to a telecast and showed so much passion for the game but those days have passed for him. Like an aging athlete hanging on, he just doesn't realize it was time to retire years ago.

I thought ESPN had retired Vitale from calling games??? What happened? I do like Nessler but really can't stand Vitale. All he does is blab about 25 other coaches all game long, players for other teams than the ones on the court, etc.

Hahahahaha! Ho ho ho hahahaha....

Sorry, I couldn't stop laughing. He will absolutely drill it into the heads of anyone listening that it was only a fluke because they are young and they will learn from it. I guarantee he makes it a point to stress how they will bounce back.

There are certain guys I LOVE doing our games, but nobody I can't listen to. It just doesn't bother me.

I miss still Tom Hammond and Joe Dean Sr. back in the day.

Not worrying about the announcers, just wondering how many overtimes Michigan and OSU will play and if we'll see much of our first half. Just thankful it's not Michigan State. Izzo calls all his time-outs in the last minute including in the last 10 seconds even if he's down double digits.

Not sure I can stomach the first game. All they will talk about is OSU winning the football title.

I like Brad Nessler, always have. I'm pretty sure he coined the phrase "Comback Cats." Also, "Turner, burner, AND ONE! "

I cared nothing for Tom Hammond calling basketball. Joe Dean was great.
Tom was a horse racing guy.

I don't really care. People were delusional if they thought we were not going to get him to announce some games at some point this season. UK won't get Bilas much, if any, anymore due to the SEC games never being close to top billing.

I know Nessler usually works with Sean Farnham so this may just be a one time thing with ESPN doing Sportscenter from Rupp and such after...bring in Vitale to make it all as goofy and as big as possible. I mean we are playing Missouri, hard to hype that up on its own.

No way Dick brings that up again. He'll remember that he mentioned it in, I think it was our last game he called, and come up with new stuff. Like he always does.

Can we get the ERupption zone to toss Dickie V out of the student section if he tries to look excited?

We'll get to hear about Pitino, the Jimmy V foundation, how Vitale's book is doing, and of course how the fans don't deserve Cal.

Vitale: "He is a wiinner! He has a winner's mentality! To be a winner, you have to have a winner's mentality! If you have a winner's mentality, you are a winner! That is why he wins! He is a winner! He has a winner's mentality!"

No thanks, I would rather hear cats screaming than Vitale.

What's the over/under in minutes into the game before Vitale brings up either Pitino or Coach K?

Having a babbling idiot on espn is now the standard and that POS calling tonight is the top dog (er babbling moron?) Just the way it is. The Mute button works wonders!
