The Trib runs an AP story about NU's game, regardless. Those are free. The column inches they devote to it vary, but they're there. We'll see if the Trib and Sun-Times send writers to cover NU games if they continue to win. It's been a long time since they've had someone cover the NU beat with any kind of regularity. That's when you know NU is getting some attention. The Trib's Paul Sullivan went to the Wisconsin game. That's a big deal.
The real litmus test would be a local paper shelling out actual money to send a reporter to a road game. In today’s media environment, I’m not sure what would get that done. I’m thinking making the Final Four would get us a decent shot at it.
