With NIL, etc, maybe it won't be long till pro players can finish their college eligibility.

I wonder if he would want to "run it back" one more time at his alma mater for a year... at this point, he could PROBABLY still help his college team on the court...at least a little

AD is a monster. In all reality he is probably the best player to ever play for this University.

He certainly can do things almost no other player can. But I think SGA might be pretty close behind. SGA is currently in 1st place for MVP odds according to Vegas. Pretty wild to think that the best player in the NBA for this year, might be from Kentucky.. and its especially fascinating because none of the top10 Cal recruits were ever really close (maybe AD was, I'd have to look). So he's a fringe 5-star player from UK who might win MVP in the NBA.

Remember when everyone was acting like the Pelicans fleeced the Lakers with that AD-Zion trade? Lmao so many terrible hot takes with that one. Lakers haven't been excellent lately but they won a title and now the Pelicans are the most horrific franchise in the league.

AD is having an insane season so far
I don't keep up with the NBA at all but I know he's had multiple seasons like that! He really was a once in a lifetime type of player! NCAA Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist ,and an NBA Champion he's got the trifecta!

My son and I were at the game. I'm not very big on the NBA and I'm a Knicks fan in the past, but that AD performance was great to watch. He was basically doing anything he wanted out there. He could have gone for 50/60 IMO.

I will say this......that was the first NBA game I've been to in decades. I hear about how people complain a lot about the NBA games but there's one thing I really enjoyed about it compared to college.

The game just ran smoothly. It wasn't the stop/start action you get in these SEC games with UK. There was better flow to everything. NBA games are what 8 more mins compared to college and yet that game ended before some of the SEC games I've seen.

It's what anyone will tell you who watch the NBA and college. I like the rawness of college, the fandom, the spectacle of March Madness, etc etc.

But if you want to see QUALITY basketball being played (regardless if you like it's current style), the NBA blows college out of the water. Like you said, it's smooth, it flows. Everyone can pretty much make shots and defend at an adequate level. College games are often times such slop fests to get through. Turnover, Turnover, clanked layup, turnover, foul, clanked layup..

And I could just tell watching it with my son. He's 10. He's a UK fan too and will watch those games with me but with the stop/start of some of these games it's hard to keep him engaged. He was engaged this entire game and I think the flow of the game played a huge part in that.

I do wish he wasn't a damn Lakers fan tho haha. That being said and I know Lebron is kind of polarizing, even at 40, it was pretty great to watch.

Jump on the Houston bandwagon now before it fills up. 3-4 NBA titles incoming! Choo-chooo!

I do think this is a great Knicks team to root for. MSG must be electric for home games this year, and playoffs is going to be insane. Nothing like going to MSG, knowing what types of events and concerts have come through before.

Yeah I don't really remember that because that's not how it happened. The Pelicans already had the #1 pick that they would use to select Zion before the Anthony Davis Trade.

What AD-Zion trade?

Methinks you’re imagining things.

Damn I coulda sworn it was the Lakers sending the Pels the #1 pick in that trade but looks like it was just Lonzo Ball, Ingram, Hart and the #4 pick. Still the Pelicans have sucked since parting with AD and Darius and that's the main takeaway lol
