Was having this discussion in another group yesterday. The NBA needs a new superstar to be the face of the league. Someone dynamic and competitive who backs it up on the floor. You can see the NBA is angling toward it being Edwards. Before last night’s game they had a montage of players singing his praises.

But what we are wondering is how much polishing the NBA and his team will need to do for him to be broadly marketable. For one he sounds like he hasn’t been to class since the sixth grade. And he’s clearly not as aware of time and place as he should be. It will be an interesting case study to see the development.

Destroyed Booker and the rest of the Suns all series. Guy is on a different level.
The Suns were stupid trading for Beal. They had to get rid of all their depth, a coach who got them to the finals, and all their draft picks. Now they are in a spot where those 3 contracts alone put them in the luxury tax and they don’t play well together. They can draft anyone for like the next 8 years. They can’t sign any free agents because of the luxury tax and having no money to use. They better trade one of them soon. It’s not working.

Or a refusal to reinvent to adjust to the times.
Both of them were equally to blame. Then when he does finally get a new offense, he doesn’t teach defense. Apparently he didn’t listen to the offensive architect long because he was dipping whether Cal left or not. It was obvious he allows nobody to help him on the bench either when he has so many weaknesses.

Many companies are no longer in business because they refused to adapt.

Too bad he wasted his year in college at Georgia.

FIFY. A Guy like Anthony Edwards clearly had no use for the college game. It was just a formality, and he probably picked Georgia for nothing other than it was close to his home. When are some of you going to realize that college basketball isn't as big or as important to the players? There was nothing he was going to gain at UK or Duke or anywhere else.

Actually Booker out scored him in last night’s game in a losing cause. Booker had 49, Edwards 40.
The difference was in the context of the game. Late in the 4th quarter Booker was defendable. Edwards had a couple of blocks on him and got a couple of key stops. Edwards was unstoppable when it mattered.

I think anyone who watched the games and can be impartial about it realizes just how big the gap is between Edwards and Booker's talent level. Different planet. Edwards has the potential to be the best player in the league for a decade.

Don't pay much attention to NBA. Surprised how good Wolves and Thunder are this season.

Still taking Nuggets though until someone beats them.

Every point matters otherwise the game would not have been close. If Booker had only scored 30 it would have been a blowout.
