Best cop show in years, IMO. Season 7 was my least favorite but still pretty solid.

The new spinoff with Bosch and Maddie as PIs will be interesting, I hope.

I read how next variation will be available & didn't understand, but not regular AP.

They've got Maddie heavily made-up now to avoid showing her massive freckles collection.

Sgt. Mankiewicz & Crate & Barrel are the best - hilarious.

I have not read the Books, do they have him becoming a PI?

In the first book as a PI, Bosch goes to work for his half brother Mickey Haller (aka The Lincoln Lawyer). The Lincoln Lawyer series of books is also very entertaining. The first one was made into a decent movie.

The Bosch books are really good but he is portrayed as too much of a hothead IMO. He is continually getting suspended from the PD, forced to retire, comes back after playing blackmail cards, fired again, and so forth. He finally goes to work for a small town police department but he loses that job too. But in each book he solves some huge murder that makes national news. So basically you have probably the best known cop in the country but he can't stay employed.

The series is great. We just finished it last night. My second favorite behind Longmire. Watching Goliath now with Billy Bob Thornton. Very good also but not as good as Bosch.

Season 7 seemed a little rushed. Bosch is good show and one of it's signatures imo, is the slow burn it does. Season 7 was not like that, it was still good though.

Season 7 was slow. Definitely the least favorite. Still not bad.

We have been fans of the Bosch series. We also recently really enjoyed Mare of Easttown. Highly recommend.
