No changes that I have seen. Last years methods seemed to function pretty good. 21 of 32 final four teams were 1 or 2 seeds. Only 3 teams below a 6 seeds made the state semifinals. Based on the numbers it appeared to work. I don’t like the fact that the process is not widely known, teams should be aware of how the final formula is adjusted. The appeals process gives me some doubts as to the process they use, for example in the original brackets last year Rosman was in Hayesville was out. This was despite the fact HHS finished with more total wins, twice as many conference wins and won the head to head matchup at Rosman. I am not sure how any mathematical formula could make that mistake. The formulas needs to be shared with the schools. With that said it seemed to work for last year.
