What do they do with the carp?I'm not, but I follow a group on Facebook about the people catching carp on Kentucky and Barkley. I've seen them out there working too, pretty crazy how many they can catch in a day.

What’s the fish that jump out the water when they feel/hear/whatever the engine? Can’t they just mow them down when they do that? Like I said, not a fisherman, ha.I'm not, but I follow a group on Facebook about the people catching carp on Kentucky and Barkley. Silver carp are the jumpers, but there are a few species that make up the group known as Asian carp. The jumping is theatrical, but they live in the water. Some of the commercial long netters will bring in 15 tons per day. What’s the fish that jump out the water when they feel/hear/whatever the engine? Can’t they just mow them down when they do that? Also, I thought carp were a nasty fish? Like, not really eatable? Am I wrong I guess?
Thank you sir. Are the netters like drudgers?Silver carp are the jumpers, but there are a few species that make up the group known as Asian carp. The jumping is theatrical, but they live in the water. Some of the commercial long netters will bring in 15 tons per day.
The fish are mostly either processed as food and sent to asian countries, ground up as animal food, or ground up for fertilizer. The reason most people don't eat carp is due to the amount of small bones in the meat. There are ways to filet them that remove the bones, and the meat is actually pretty good.
Rinella purees them with bones in and turns them into fish cakes. Swears they are one of his favorite foods.Silver carp are the jumpers, but there are a few species that make up the group known as Asian carp. The jumping is theatrical, but they live in the water. Tim Farmer cans em with bones in and I reckon the little bones just kinda melt during the cooking and become part of the finished product. He said it’s like homemade tuna fish.Rinella purees them with bones in and turns them into fish cakes. Swears they are one of his favorite foods.
Crappie biting like crazyI'm not, but I follow a group on Facebook about the people catching carp on Kentucky and Barkley. I've seen them out there working too, pretty crazy how many they can catch in a day.
I think its probably the sa.e thing. The long netters will put out a couple thousand feet of net and take in a whole bay at once. They return everything except for the invasive carp.Thank you sir. Are the netters like drudgers?
