Any Crypto Degens? How we feeling about the Merge?

Just about 5 hours to go. Volume really light the past couple days, think people are waiting to see how things shake out.

Assuming this transitions to Proof of Stake with only minor issues, this upgrade will only ensure Ethereum's position as the #1 smart contract blockchain.
Short-term eth probably goes lower but long-term this transition will cement Eth as the platform for DeFi. 2023 gonna be wild. Thoughts?

All I really understand about this deal is that the ETH coin supply will be reduced to theoretically make the remaining coins more valuable. Accounting more or less.

Technically speaking, the blockchain itself may have a future with ETH or SOL or both. Not so sure about the coins themselves or how it's suddenly efficient and more secure.
