I wish none were open. I understand some people can’t/don’t cook but the workers I’m sure would like the day off. At least if you do eat out I hope you tip very bigly.

Some ppl want to work on the holidays lil ed, it's just another day to some and some do their thing on the weekend. But anyway, don't go to the ER either ED...they don't want to deal with your careless ***.

Anyway, I think you can get meals delivered from Malones

I volunteered to work every holiday this year except thanksgiving. Don’t care about most of them and my family doesn’t get together on Christmas Day. We get paid for the holiday whether we work or not. And if you work on a holiday I get double time

I think @B.B.d.K. was the guy that got me start giving gift cards out to gas station employees over holidays. Those have to be open but restaurants should be closed. If you’re not participating in the holiday that’s fine but they shouldn’t be serving you. That being said, in Key West Xmas week to NYE is called hell week because everyone comes down and it’s super busy but most employees would rather have a couple days off.

Home w/ leftovers on Thanksgiving, but Black Friday morning is always Waffle House, and we give a very generous tip to our server, and an equal amount to the master at the griddle.

I see a lot of restaurants offering Thanksgiving meals, you basically pay a per person price and they'll cook a full meal and all the sides. you just pick it up. probably too late for reservations for most.

Don't laugh, but Golden Corral is usually open and that's a full buffet of all you can eat. You can get carryout from them as well. (I work for a company that owns a few of them, not the one in Lexington though)

Careful if you drive anywhere near a Golden Corral on Thanksgiving lest you be overrun by the morbidly obese red hat stampede crowd spittle flecking brown gravy from their flushed cherubic faces.
