Has it been warm enough down there. It will be a another two/ three weeks where I live so I wouldn’t mind making road trip to some morel harvesting.

Friend of mine in Corbin was talking about Dry Land Fish. I was like, "what the hell are you talking about?" I grew up in KY and had never heard that term until 10 years ago. Maybe he was just putting me on though.

Hickory Chickens, Dry-land fish, Morels or what ever you want to call them. Not yet. Warm up next week should make them pop. I may get out tomorrow after noon to see if any came up before this last cold spell but I doubt many did. Usually 2nd week of April through the First week of May does it. Found about 300 last year.

Has anybody been to this festival? i intended to go a couple of years in a row but the weather turned cold and wet. not sure if they had it last year.

I saw a ‘room hunter on tv being interviewed last year who said morels were bringing $90lb and more. 😳 i love ‘em but not quite that much.
That's my hometown, it's cancelled this year. I've heard them selling for more than that. I don't care much for festivals but it's a decent enough time.
