Any news on Gilman?

......yes, I understood he was bad at drinking his bath water and that sooner or later it would be discovered.......effect his coaching how?

That seems a little harsh. Maybe he just didn't care to let anyone know and didn't realize that it would effect his coaching as well. Not everything in this world is intentional.
You know, initially, I thought, maybe I was a bit too harsh.

but then I remembered the frequency with which Gilman said he wasn’t “retired.” Then those are some stupid decisions to make. And he said it in the Basch interview that he was aware of the ‘hits’ as well.

Not being mean or too harsh - it’s an idiotic stance to make that decision multiple times, when you publicly state you might not be done, but then it affects your coaching and your suddenly blindsided by the consequences.

Gilman is a "stick it to the man" kind of guy even if the mountain falls on him. This is probably one of those times. I would say to Thomas, "pick your spots in life".
