If so, on a scale of 1-10, how happy that Pettine and Farmer are gone?

I'm at about 40.

Sadly, I expect to be here in another 3 years after their next garbage hires. Zero faith in my team.

Yes, I am a Browns fanatic and Kentucky Football fanatic, football season mostly sucks for me.

After the way the people in Cleveland treated Couch I no longer care about them. And this from a fan going back to the 50s.

I was pretty young during that time so I don't exactly remember it perfectly, still love my Browns.

Love the Browns and Love tyhe Wildcats.

The Browns fired their coach and their GM plus Johnny Manziel is purposely trying to get out of Cleveland. I would like Haslem to try to hire Chip Kelly or Sean Payton as thei nexthead coach. No more co-ordinators.

Word is the #1 Candidate is Doug Marrone...Sashi Brown is now in charge of football operations in Cleveland and he has control of the 53 Man Roster...he has no experience as a "Football Guy"...he is a lawyer who only handled the salary cap.

Lifetime fan of the Cats and the Browns. I started following the Browns right at the end of Jim Brown's career.

Will it matter who they bring in? Waiting for a new ESPN 30-for-30: "Futility, The Cleveland Browns Story". (I see many parallel's in the fortunes of the Browns and football Cats).

Actually he is not responsible for the roster but he is reaponsible for operations and on the.committe to hire the next coach (to be fired). The next GM will be only have accountability for talent evaluation and acquisition. A different structure for sure.

Big Cat and I must be close to the same age because I started following the Browns towards the end Jim Brown's career. I can still remember watching him run over people acting like he was hurt after a hard tackle only to run over the opposing team again. I remember Dr. Frank Ryan quarterbacking the Browns. He had doctorate in Math.

I go to a couple of Browns' games a year, sit in the Dawg Pound and sing "Who let the Dawgs out?" when the PA system kicks on that song.

I was at the last Cleveland Browns' game held at the old Municipal Stadium after Art Model announced he was moving the team to Baltimore. Someone put Modell's picture in every urinal in the stadium. I peed on old Art many times that day.

The Browns have really struggled since they returned. Despite their pathetic record, (much like UK's), they have some of the most loyal fans (just like UK) who keep attending the games in brutally cold weather to watch their team with a losing record finish out the season before a packed stadium in December. Damn! That wind off Lake Erie is bone chilling cold!

Alas, it has been a long struggle for the Browns since the new version of the team was formed. In many ways the new Briwns resemble UK football as both teams have very loyal fans despite their pathetic winning records.

Hey Public Enemy, I was wrong and you were right. Sashi is over the 53 man roster. GM is talent evaluation. My bad. Hope this structure works but, have to question it. The GM role is going to be critical. Plus, why would anyone want this stripped down role?

Zimmerman and Gruden in playoffs from Bengals staff yet Bengals can't get out of first round. Who would you want as your first round draft pick?

It is extrememly different...I'm a Cowboys fan but if anything the Browns are my AFC Team-(Dad is a huge Browns fan and we make a trip to Cleveland once a year for a home game). Was listening online to the ESPN Cleveland Radio station and they are pretty much livid. Most wanted Farmer and Pettine gone but not this structure either.

It's been a long time since the days of. Otto. Graham!!!
The problem with the. Browns is the infrastructure of the program. They have failed too develop an 0ff. Line since even before. Couch was the. Q.. B.. This is what got. Couch crippled- up and destroyed his career!!!

42 yr old lifelong fan. From the age of 5-9 I lived up there and that is when I began being a fan. It's Brutal. Red Right 88, Drive, Fumble, plus many many other regular season blunders. Just not the same when they came back, even with Couch but ever since he left, not much interest. Got a little suckered in last year and then in 07 I think when they went 10-6 but did not get in.

If you want to hear some good stuff, tune in on Tune IN Radio to 850 WKNR up there. It is a blood bath

.

Don't forget UK's own Bob Gain. A stellar career at UK and at Cleveland. Yeah, after every run you thought it was Brown's last. Slow to get up, slow back to the huddle, and then, like you said, run over them again. Smart man retiring at the peak of his career.

I love the Browns and cats and it's tough! Cleveland is in worse shape than uks football program which is sad. I'm glad they cleaned house bc you don't wait 3-4-5 years if the **** isn't working. UK isn't working and should follow suit and clean house sooner than later

Been a fan since the late 50's when Milt Plum was QB and Jim Brown led the league in rushing about every year. But they lost 2-3 games a year back then by 3 points or less and missed the playoffs most of the time. But by the mid 60's when Frank Ryan was QB they were champs again.

Not with the way Kelly wants to control things considering how the Browns structure is now according to the owner yesterday. That sounds like a mess waiting to happen.

In Cleveland the debate is now who is the worst owner ever...Current Browns owner Jimmy Haslem or former Cavs owner Ted Stepien.

Bruce Hooley and Mark Bishop killed them on WKNR tonight.

Do we have a snowballs chance in hell of hiring Chip Kelly?

If Kelly wanted to go to a really bad team he'd 100% go to the Titans over the Browns. At least the Titans have a legit QB (sadly nothing much else of note).

Figured ... I hear we are interviewing the Pats D coordinator, I know nothing about him but he has to know how to win being on the Pats ... they do more with less than any team I've ever seen in my life.

I'm like them....still trying to figure out how someone with no football background is now in charge of the 53 man roster-(Sashi Brown now in charge of that)...the only good thing I see going forward is that Manziel has very likely played his last down in Cleveland....said in 2014 would rather have either Bridgewater or Carr.

Also, I do like the Matt Patricia idea of talking to him...did a lot with not that much on the Patriot defense

Bengals fan here as well. I would like to see the Browns do well too, from a rivalry standpoint. Unfortunately, the Manziel experiment has pretty much been a disaster. They need a good QB with strong leadership skills to go with a solid coach. My 2 cents!

The Manziel experiment has to be over...first went into the Wednesday practice and said he had "Concussion like symptoms"..two days after the game against Kansas City...rumor has it he was more likely hungover...went into protocol...was spotted in Vegas the night before the Sunday game...missed a mandatory Sunday Morning Medical treatment...and didn't return phone calls all day Sunday...and now this coming out with what happened in Vegas:

A USA Today reporter in Las Vegas spotted Manziel on Saturday night at Planet Hollywood. However, when no pictures of Manziel surfaced, that led some to believe that maybe it wasn't actually Manziel at the casino. As it turns out, though, there's an explanation for why no photos surfaced: Manziel was in disguise. For real.

According to the ESPN radio affiliate in Las Vegas, Manziel was "wearing a blonde wig, a fake mustache, glasses, and a hoodie" when he went out on Saturday night. Manziel was also allegedly introducing himself as "Billy," presumably so people wouldn't know it was him.

As a UK expatriate who now lives in Cleveland, let me tell you guys, Haslam is an absolute snake oil salesman, and completely clueless, except in how to squeeze every dime out of the team and city he can. See, e.g., the Cuyahoga County "sin tax" passed last year, and see the First energy naming rights. The city owns the stadium, yet Haslam pocketed the 100million+ for the naming rights.

I was a Browns fan in the 50's. Otto Graham, Jim Brown, Bob Gain etc. Then Art Modell up and moved the franchise to Baltimore and I lost interest in pro football.

The Browns of today are not the Browns of old. I was a Brown's fan watching the great Otto Graham, and all the other great Brown players. BUT, I quit becoming a Brown's fan when Art
Modell left Cleveland high & dry. In fact I no longer watch pro football. It's about the money!
I enjoy watching college football, & have been a fan of UK since listening to UK broadcast with
Bill Hardy as QB. (1950's). Oh well, Go Cats. I am also a Dodger fan. We finally beat the Yankees.
I am still waiting for next year. Podres come on down. We may have some coming!
Young, Jackson & Daniels. Never give up!!!!

and now Browns hire fat kid from Moneyball. ya can't make this stuff up.

With what has happened I actually have no problem with the Grand Experiment they are trying...basically bringing Money Ball to Football with the hiring of Paul Depodesta....especially after messing up with Justin Gilbert/Johnny "Billy" Manziel and Cam Irving...

I hope someone in management watches the movie, "Draft Day":); maybe we can luck out like Kevin Costner did in that film
