I know they are pricey but man do I love these citruses. They are the GOAT of the Citrus world IMO. Whole foods had them on sale for 2.99 a pound I bought enough to have one every day for the month of Feb. #WINNING

One hundred percent YES! Sumo mandarins are the absolute best. My family will tell you that I start talking about them as the new year rolls around and their season nears.

$2.99/lb? wow that's awesome. They're $3.99/lb around here.

They were on sale for a week. I bought 30 of them that week. They went back up here to 3.99 lb.

I got some today, and that is one tasty orange. However, I do have a little bit of the Pulp Fiction "$5 milkshake" sentiment toward them.

They will come down in price once more orchids are planted. These started out in Japan and some organization brought them here to the US and they basically have the market cornered. It took them 7 years just to start being able to produce fruit. Very new product in the market.

I wish those same Japanese folks would do something with the grapefruit. They need to make those things easier to peel and eat.

Folks near a Crest store, I found them today at the "big" Crest in MWC for $1.89/lb. Damn, those are good - easy to peel - I'll probably use a peeler (just for the zest) on the next one, because they would probably make a very good orange beef addition.

Didn't figure you could get them in OKC...never noticed them at Crest, will have to pay more attention. Anyway, ordered a box.

I have been craving good oranges for years...seems like they wer much better 10-15 years ago...maybe I'm just an old fart with the "back in the day" memories...who knows, anyway the oranges I've had in recent years have all been tasteless.

Went to Taiwan a year ago to visit inlaws and had the absolute best oranges I've ever tasted...can get them anywhere over there...I'm was even thinking of figuring out a way to ship some in.

These Sumo oranges are right there with the Taiwan oranges. Just a little bit less flavor, little more tart (which I like) and not quite as sweet (again good for me)...same easy to peel skin. Awesome!!

Thanks much for the heads up guys! I knew I hung around this place for some reason.
